Adelaide Diaries – Day 4 and the journey back home

Last day…we had to check out and head back home. And see Handorf on the way. We had a late checkout, 12 noon. So we started from the hotel at 11:55AM> Yeah, didn’t want to miss out a minute 🙂

We decided, in deference to our upset stomach and my ill-health, we wouldn’t be stopping at Hanhdorf, just a drive through. And that was beautiful! Absolutely beautiful.

The trees at Hanhdorf form a canopy and are so shady. It was a hot day that day (32 degrees C) but we didn’t feel the heat at all.

This spreads throughout the city of Hanhdorf. Its a beautiful place to spend a day. Its old style restaurants welcome you with a warmth that you don’t see in the lights of the city. The fare is so good, you’d be hard-pressed to find that. Visit it for a day but do spend a day. We didn’t have time and we regret it.
