Wines, wineries, green cape and amazing food – that about sums up this day!
But….the blog doesn’t work with a one line description! Sigh! So here I go, detailing everything
Drive : 1 hour from CBD to Barossa Valley region. This was Boxing Day (26-December) remember? So we knew that only 2 wineries were open in the area. Both of them held considerable interest for us.
Sights seen : Jacob’s Creek & Wolf Blass wineries
Wolf Blass – was our first stop. Has a spectacular wine display wall that I ogled at. None of us actually drink, but the place might make you want to taste some 🙂 The aroma of wines hung in the air and it was heady. My pictures may not do full justice.
Jacob’s Creek : we couldn’t go into the stores or the winery. But the wonderful restaurant was open and we had a cheese platter. It was yummy, but gone so fast.
My companions weren’t exactly blog/Instagram friendly! So, well, that apart, the place was beautiful and you can see that for yourself in the pictures. I won’t explain and bore ya!
