Adelaide Diaries : Day 2

Wines, wineries, green cape and amazing food – that about sums up this day!

But….the blog doesn’t work with a one line description! Sigh! So here I go, detailing everything

Drive : 1 hour from CBD to Barossa Valley region. This was Boxing Day (26-December) remember? So we knew that only 2 wineries were open in the area. Both of them held considerable interest for us.

Sights seen : Jacob’s Creek & Wolf Blass wineries

Wolf Blass – was our first stop. Has a spectacular wine display wall that I ogled at. None of us actually drink, but the place might make you want to taste some πŸ™‚ The aroma of wines hung in the air and it was heady. My pictures may not do fullΒ justice.

This rotunda spans 180 degrees and is lovely to look at PS : that's my husband's arm, sorry!

Christmas Tree (again) *cheap Joke alert* Wonder what's in those presents? More wine, what else?

Jacob’s Creek : we couldn’t go into the stores or the winery. But the wonderful restaurant was open and we had a cheese platter. It was yummy, but gone so fast. My companions weren’t exactly blog/Instagram friendly! So, well, that apart, the place was beautiful and you can see that for yourself in the pictures. I won’t explain and bore ya!

Nicey nice! Most of my favourite places :)
